Brasenose College Oxford

Something a little different here.  I have photographed churches before but this time the focus was on the beautiful staircase that has been build and installed by British Spirals and Castings at Brasenose College Chapel in Oxford.

Brasenose College Chapel is a key centre for the University of Oxford’s vibrant Christian community. The chapel’s seventeenth-century architecture is a blend of Gothic, Neoclassical, and Baroque influences.  The new staircase was needed to provide access to the Chapels organ for maintenance. Due to the building’s Grade I listed status, the staircase design needed to be carefully considered to complement the building’s architecture.

The new staircase fits seamlessly within the existing architecture and looks as though it has always been there.
