Considerations to make before booking your interior/architectural photography shoot.

It is always essential to discuss the shoot in as much detail as possible as we have a diverse range of clients and every project has specific requirements. For this reason we have put together some points that you may want to consider when briefing us.
Site Readiness
When photographing your project at any stage of the process from construction through to the final stages we are used to working to deadlines and within short time constraints. We are aware of the challenges faced when projects reach the final stages and the small window that is often available for photographs to be taken between completion and moving in.
Our experience in working within this area means we can adapt to situations and environments which enable us to produce the best possible results for our clients.
However, it often occurs that although a site may be finished from a personal perspective, some trades will still be working and so this can make it difficult to get the best possible photographs. To make sure the shoot runs as smoothly as possible try to liaise with the site just before the scheduled photo day to find out if all is well.
Shot priorities
What are the main areas that you would like the images to show ie, the construction, layout, design details, break out areas, tea points, collaboration spaces, offices, chill out spaces, reception.
Do you want to have people in your shots showing spaces in use?
Weather and Lighting
Interiors can be photographed on cloudy or sunny days, the effects of the differing light will be specific to the time of day and how sunlight comes in through windows. Bright sunlight streaming directly through a window can ruin a shot if it blows out details but can also add interest in other ways by casting interesting shadows and shapes.
If the exterior of the property is to be photographed then light is an important factor. Which way the property faces will determine how the light falls and shadows are cast at certain times of day. Also if the building looks good lit up as the day light fades, then perhaps a sunset shoot would work well.
If external photography is required and the weather is dreadful then it is best to reschedule.
