Refurb London SE5

I photographed a wonderful full refurb including loft and kitchen extension for Elena Rowland Architects. This Victorian house over three floors and with a large basement has been completely transformed to create a modern, five bedroom house with large kitchen at the rear. It has retained many original features such as fireplaces and high ceilings adding to the character of this old building. Light has been introduced wherever possible with large windows, skylights and doors. A door from the lounge leads to a small outside space which carries through to the kitchen via another door. This adds natural light to the lounge but also a quirky route to the kitchen rather than through the hallway. This would also be great in the summer when it is hot and you could open up the doors from the back. Lovely project to shoot for Elena.
